Till the end of the calendar year 2019 Vetmed’s products were covered under West Bengal Drug Control authority therefore the company followed the steps applicable for Good Manufacturing Practice on a regular basis. Though due to some administrative reason the Drug License was surrendered but the Standard
Operating Procedures applicable for a Drug registered units are still thoroughly followed by the company. Currently the company manufactures and markets Animal Feed Supplements.
Initially the company’s Products started powder form. Currently Vetmed’s products are available in liquid, mixed oil & ointment forms. Attempts are under trial for manufacturing products in Ballast form and injection forms.
Vetmed’s products are being marketed through a strong stockiest dealer Network. For this purpose the company has a team of dedicated marketing personnel who arrange to generate the prescriptions from the veterinary Surgeons which are honored from company’s stockiest and chemist shops.
The Company is an ISO 9001:2015 certified MSME unit.
The company has strong presence in West Bengal, Bihar and the North Eastern States.
HISTORY
VETMED started its journey as a manufacturer of Ayurvedic Veterinary Medicines in the year 1973 about 50 years back at the northern fringe of Kolkata. Initially it was a Proprietary unit of Late Ranu Bhattacharyya. In the year 1988 the unit was converted into a partnership firm and subsequently in 2004 the firm was converted into a Private Limited company with Late Ranu Bhattacharyya and her five wards as directors.

Presently the Administration and Operations of the company is headed by the abled and experienced Mr Kalyan Shankar Bhattacharyya, Executive Director, Production and the sales and marketing function is headed by Executive Director of Marketing, Mr Siddhartha Sankar Bhattacharyya
